About Marcus and the gym

FORGE Fitness is run by Marcus Taylor, a Cert IV trainer with 12 years on the floor. The studio opened on Crown Street in 2014 and focuses on coaching people who need structure, accountability, and clean technique.

Every client starts with a movement screen, goal-setting consult, and baseline lifts or mobility checks. Programs are written week to week, not pulled from a template.

Strength, fat loss, return to training after injury, and prep for events like Hyrox, City2Surf, club sport preseason, and Tough Mudder. No contest prep, no crash dieting.

Strength without guesswork

Build the big patterns safely with a coach watching tempo, range, and load selection. Baselines are retested every six weeks so the program has evidence behind it.
